Hannibal News – Lee Pace, Other Fuller Alums to Guest Star

Fans of Bryan Fuller’s short-lived but much-adored series Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me can look forward to seeing some of their favorite actors — and even characters (kinda) — return to the small screen. The show creator has told E! that he plans to have some of his previous casts back to guest star on his new show, Hannibal.

According to Fuller, he especially would like to have Lee Pace (Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies) back for season two — fingers crossed that we actually get one — since his schedule didn’t allow Pace to guest this season: “He’s definitely interested in doing the show and I would love to work with him again,” Fuller explained. And Pace isn’t the only Pushing Daisies star that the creator wants back: “I also very much want to work with Anna Friel again, and Kristin Chenoweth clearly has to play someone in the Boston arts scene. Perhaps an opera singer. So we are hoping to make that all happen.”

Sharp Wonderfalls fans may have already noticed Chelan Simmons reprising her role as Gretchen Speck (-Horowitz). As promised, she’d ditched the hyphen and kept the ring. Now Dead Like Me fans can look forward to (kind of) seeing how main character Georgia Lass turned out, when Ellen Muth appears on Hannibal. “She plays a character named Georgia Madchen in Hannibal and she was Georgia Lass in Dead Like Me,” Fuller told Den of Geek. “Both Madchen and Lass mean ‘girl’ so she’s kind of the same character in both. It’s a re-examination of the character and also a re-examination of that work, and also a way to keep it alive in some way.”
