Joss Whedon News – Positive Buzz for Much Ado

Joss Whedon’s new film — no, not Avengers 2, the other one — is currently making the film festival circuit, and its performance at the IFFBoston was apparently enough to cause StarPulse to give it an A+ review. According to the reviewer, Whedon’s take on Much Ado About Nothing makes Shakespeare very accessible, bridging the past and present by using the bard’s traditional language but tossing in modern amenities and settings.

Whedon’s film kicked off the Independent Film Festival Boston on April 24. Later this month, it will open the Seattle Film Festival on May 16. And, of course, it made its official debut during the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival. Those of us who are unable to score tickets to a film festival screening will have to wait for the film to hit theaters on June 7.
