Joss Whedon Now on Twitter
He’s finally done it: cult hero Joss Whedon has jumped aboard the Twitter bandwagon with his own account, @JossActual. Granted, Whedon is no stranger to the bird-oriented social network: he’s been tweeting through the official account for his new film, Much Ado About Nothing. In fact, he warns, he’s “used up all [his] funny” in doing so.
Granted, we aren’t too worried about the Buffy scribe running out of humor any time soon. He’s only been tweeting under his own name since Sunday (May 12) and he’s already racked up over 100,000 followers.
You can see some of his other choice tweets here below:
Meanwhile, this weekend also saw Whedon’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. get officially picked up. The Avengers-based television show will follow the agency’s ‘non-classified cases’, according to the trailer. As well as bringing back Agent Coulson (played again by Clark Gregg) from the popular Avengers movie, the show will also reunite Whedon with Angel star J. August Richards, who played Charles Gunn on the supernatural show. ABC has posted four behind-the-scenes photos from the pilot episode.
Check out the trailer below, and then head over to Wired, where they’ve deconstructed it scene-by-scene with their best guesses as to what is going on.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air Tuesday at 8/7c on ABC this fall.
